What does start date and end date mean on the evaluation templates?

The start date and end date fields define the time period for which you are evaluating the employee’s performance. For example, a start date of January-01 with an end date of December-31 means that the performance is reviewed for the whole year, whereas a start date of July-01 with an end date of December-31 means that the performance is reviewed for the second half of the year.
